On behalf of our Transportation client, Procom is searching for a Project Manager for a 6-month role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Mississauga office.
Project Manager - Job Description:
The Intermediate Project Manager will support the delivery system. This role involves coordinating project execution, enhancing operational performance, reducing processing times, and enabling long-term modernization initiatives such as major System upgrades.
Project Manager - Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver on large, complex infrastructure projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and operational outcomes are achieved.
- Develop project scope, timelines, budget frameworks, and business benefit definitions in collaboration with internal leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Prepare project charters, integrated project schedules, progress dashboards, risk logs, and other project documentation.
- Manage project budgets, monitor forecasting, and ensure cost control with no overruns.
- Drive projects through full lifecycle—including design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and operational transition.
- Collaborate in a matrix environment with multiple internal stakeholders and external contractors.
- Represent the internal authority, ensuring alignment across all partners and protecting operational continuity.
Project Manager - Mandatory Skills:
- Experience leading and delivering large, complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience in a similar environment or similar large, complex, safety-critical operational setting.
- Strong communication and operational awareness.
- Proven collaboration skills in unionized work environments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and time-sensitive environment.
- Strong decision-making capability with a bias toward action.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of airport operations and baggage handling equipment.
- Direct experience with baggage handling systems, PLC/SCADA integrations.
- Familiarity with airport construction processes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience collaborating with major baggage system partners.
Project Manager – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
