Role Summary
The Food Truck Lead Cook is the second-in-command of the truck — a strong, capable chef who can lead event execution, run service, and step into the manager role when needed.
This role is hands-on and leadership-driven. You’ll be responsible for prep of the truck, cooking, and leading the team during events, ensuring the same level of quality, energy, and execution as the Food Truck Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Culinary Execution
- Execute all menu items with consistency, quality, and speed
- Manage prep for events
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and health compliance
- Adapt quickly in high-volume service environments
Event Leadership & Truck Execution
- Lead the truck during assigned events
- Handle setup, service flow, and teardown
- Ensure the truck is fully prepared and event-ready
- Step into full operational leadership when manager is unavailable
Team Leadership
- Direct and support team members during service
- Maintain strong communication and efficient workflow
- Help build a positive, high-performance team culture
Prep & Inventory Support
- Assist with inventory organization and prep planning
- Work with the manager to ensure product readiness
- Minimize waste and maintain efficiency
Brand & Customer Experience
- Deliver consistent, high-quality Pink Door experiences
- Support guest interaction and problem-solving when needed
- Represent the brand with professionalism and energy

Requirements
- Proven cooking experience (pizza or high-volume service preferred)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to lead a small team in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable taking ownership of event execution
- Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, events)
- Physically able to work in a mobile kitchen environment
- Must be 25+ years old
- Valid Alberta driver’s license (clean driving record preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Food truck or mobile catering experience
- Leadership or supervisory kitchen experience
- Experience in event-based service environments

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
