Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ECEA / Responsible Adult to support early childhood education programs and ensure the safety and well-being of young children. In this vital role, you will serve as a responsible adult during educational activities, assist with classroom management, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes learning and development.
Please note that this a causal / oncall contract position expacted to permanant as the day care revnue grows. We are look mature willing worker who can learn and grow togather. The terms of employment will be decided at the time of interview.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Responsible Adult during educational sessions, ensuring safety and adherence to program guidelines
- Support lead teachers with classroom activities, including supervising children during play, meals, and rest periods
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children at all times
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support positive relationships
- Observe and document children's progress and behavior to inform program planning
- Follow all licensing regulations and program policies to ensure compliance with safety standards
Skills
- Responsiable Adult certificate / ECE Assistant Certificate from the BC ECE Registry.
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to remain attentive, patient, and energetic in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated responsibility in supervising children safely at all times
Pay: $18.75-$19.00 per hour
