Fifteen minutes down the highway, there’s a way to wipe out your federal student loan — without leaving the area.
Wembley Pharmacy is hiring 2–3 pharmacists for part-time staff positions. Wembley is a designated eligible community under the Canada Student Loan Forgiveness program — as of December 31, 2025, pharmacists working in communities like ours may qualify for up to $60,000 in federal student loan forgiveness over 5 years, the same maximum as physicians.
You keep your Grande Prairie job and life. You add 1–3 shifts a week in Wembley. Your Canada Student Loan starts disappearing.
The role:
- Part-time Staff Pharmacist — choose 1 to 3 shifts per week (Mondays, Thursdays, and/or Fridays)
- 10-hour shifts, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Even one shift per week can exceed the program’s 400 in-person hours/year minimum — we’ll help you structure your schedule to protect your eligibility
- Graduates of a Canadian pharmacy program, licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
- Additional Prescribing Authority (APA) required — you’ll provide direct access to care for Wembley-area residents, including prescribing and comprehensive medication management
- New graduates encouraged to apply
Why Wembley:
Wembley is a family-focused, vibrant, and thriving community in Alberta’s Peace Country, just west of Grande Prairie. Our pharmacy is at the heart of it — full-scope community practice serving residents who genuinely rely on us for chronic disease management, prescribing, injections, and clinical services.
Loan forgiveness eligibility is determined by the Government of Canada, not the employer. Confirm your eligibility with the National Student Loans Service Centre before relying on it.
