Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our new and flourishing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. You will assist one of our dentists across various locations, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Cleardent, Akitu, and Gold.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Maintain sterilization of instruments and cleanliness of the treatment area in accordance with health regulations.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting practices with hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with dental software systems. Experience with Cleardent considered an asset.
- Experience with iTero Scans.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently under pressure.
