Role Overview: Lead the operation of an Achieva After School Program. Supervise staff, plan daily programming and provide homework assistance to children ages 4-12.
Required Qualifications:
- Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
- Experience working with children
- Leadership and organizational skills
- Experience leading groups and activities
- Ability to assist students with K-6 homework.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education completed or in progress
- Post-secondary interest or focus in: Education, Physical Education, Child & Youth Care, Social Work, French, or related field
- Previous supervisory experience
Assets:
- French Immersion background or fluency
- Activity planning experience
- Experience completing documentation and reports
- Staff supervision experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead daily activities
- Organize activities involving: STEAM, literacy, French, recreation and parties
- Manage attendance and daily operations
- Complete incident reports and related documentation
- Support team
- Communicate with families, school staff and Achieva administration
