Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Parts Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing parts inventory and ensuring efficient operations within our dealership or manufacturing environment. This position requires strong customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in data entry and procurement processes.
Duties
- Manage parts inventory, including receiving, stocking, and organizing parts for easy access.
- Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding parts availability and specifications.
- Coordinate purchasing activities, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best prices.
- Utilize ERP systems and CMMS for tracking inventory and managing orders effectively.
- Support demand planning efforts to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to streamline procurement processes.
- Operate forklifts safely to move heavy parts as needed within the warehouse or dealership.
Experience
- Previous automotive parts experience necessary
- Familiarity with data entry, purchasing, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems or HVAC components is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing settings is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems for inventory management is desirable.
- Skills in negotiation and sourcing to optimize procurement strategies.
