Job Summary
We're seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside skilled electricians and generator technicians on a variety of projects. We're looking for someone dependable, eager to learn, and committed to quality work.
Duties
- Assist licensed electricians and generator technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential, commercial, and industrial generator systems
- Transport the electrician's vehicle to the project locations.
- Help install generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), electrical distribution equipment, and associated wiring
- Assist with generator commissioning, testing, inspections, and preventative maintenance
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting under the guidance of experienced technicians
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals
- Install conduit, pull wire, terminate conductors, and mount electrical equipment
- Document service work performed, including inspections, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Ensure all work complies with the Canadian Electrical Code, manufacturer specifications, and company safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with team members while providing professional, courteous service to customers on-site
Skills
- Registered electrical apprentice (all levels welcome to apply)
- Applicants must be based in the Chilliwack area.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of performing the demands of the role
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Gas Fitter Certification is an Asset
