Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton West and Element Edmonton West are dual Marriott-branded properties located in West Edmonton. Together, our hotels offer over 220 guestrooms, serving business travelers, extended-stay guests, groups, and leisure travelers.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Rooms Division Manager to lead our Housekeeping and Maintenance departments while ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and strong team engagement.
This position is a key member of the hotel leadership team and reports directly to the General Manager.
Position Overview
The Rooms Division Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments across both hotel properties.
The successful candidate will ensure guestrooms, public areas, and hotel facilities consistently meet Marriott brand standards while maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for guests and associates.
This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Housekeeping and Maintenance teams.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing associates.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching conversations, and disciplinary processes when required.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and guest-focused service.
- Support succession planning and employee development initiatives.
Housekeeping Operations
- Ensure guestrooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas meet Marriott cleanliness standards.
- Monitor room inspection programs and quality assurance processes.
- Manage departmental scheduling, productivity, and labor costs.
- Oversee inventory controls for linens, guest supplies, cleaning chemicals, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all housekeeping procedures and safety standards.
Maintenance Operations
- Oversee all maintenance activities throughout both hotel properties.
- Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance programs.
- Coordinate repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool and spa systems, guestroom equipment, elevators, life-safety systems, and building infrastructure.
- Monitor maintenance work orders and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate external contractors, vendors, and service providers.
- Assist with capital planning and property improvement projects.
Guest Experience & Quality Assurance
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores, online reviews, and guest feedback platforms.
- Investigate guest concerns and implement service recovery solutions when required.
- Work closely with Front Office and Food & Beverage leadership to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Maintain compliance with Marriott brand standards and quality assurance requirements.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage departmental budgets and expenses.
- Review invoices and purchasing requests.
- Control labor costs and departmental productivity.
- Participate in forecasting, annual budgeting, and financial planning.
- Monitor inventory levels and purchasing activities.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 3 years of hotel leadership experience.
- Previous management experience in Housekeeping, Rooms Operations, Facilities, Maintenance, or a related hospitality discipline.
- Strong leadership and employee development skills.
- Experience managing schedules, payroll, labor costs, and departmental budgets.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as operational needs require.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred
- Marriott experience.
- Multi-department management experience.
- Knowledge of hotel maintenance systems and preventive maintenance programs.
- Pool Operator Certification or willingness to obtain certification sponsored by the company.
- Hospitality Management degree or diploma.

Pay: $50,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
