Atlantic Flushing & Testing, Inc. is a turnkey service provider managing projects in the Marine, Industrial and Commercial sectors of Atlantic Canada. The company specializes in mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting, fabrication and welding of various piping systems, hydrostatic testing, chemical cleaning and hydraulic flushing, structural fabrication and welding and machine shop services. Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Oil Flushing & Chemical Cleaning Operator to join our team. This role involves set-up, monitoring and demobilization of chemical cleaning systems and hot oil flushing systems in shop and industrial environments in locations within Atlantic Canada and various other locations. Provide experience and technical support to the supervisor/client as required. Repair, maintenance of equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhering to company QHSE.
- Organizing and loading equipment based on procedures and drawings prepared by supervision and planners.
- Responsible for execution of the set-up and installation of the equipment required for each project.
- Monitoring system and cleaning solutions (chemical solutions and flushing oil) for progress and determination of meeting cleaning standards.
- Troubleshooting processes and equipment as required during each project.
- Disconnection and demobilization as required following each project.
- Equipment maintenance following each project.
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Mechanically minded, focused personality, able to keep mind on task during long shifts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; effective verbal and written communication skills; excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations and ability to work in a fast-paced and dirty environment at times.
- Must qualify for Security clearances (Reliability Status).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work both indoors and outdoors; climate extremes (hot, cold, wet, dry), up and down stairs, confined spaces, working at heights
- Exposure to prolonged periods of standing, crouching or sitting
- Frequently noisy working environment
- Steel-toed safety boots will be required, all other PPE is provided e.g., safety glasses/goggles, hard hat, hearing protection, etc.
- Hazards associated with the trade/industry
- Exposure to active construction and/or job sites
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Work occasional extra hours as the need arises
