Overview
Experienced Dental Assistant with a background in PERIO or ORAL SURGERY specialty practice. Hours are 7:30am - 4:00pm. Weekdays. 4 days per week. The ideal candidate will support surgical procedures, assist with patient care, and ensure smooth operation within the surgical environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting, providing essential assistance to the periodontist.
Responsibilities
- Room set up
- Assist periodontist with retraction, suction, and instrument passing.
- Manage patient positioning throughout surgical procedures
- Document procedures accurately using electronic health records systems Cleardent
- Provide pre- and post-operative care instructions to patients
- Take digital radiographs, CBCT, and intraoral scans
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments
- Collaborate with dental receptionists and other staff to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Proven experience dental assisting in a dedicated surgical practice
- Familiarity with Cleardent
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work standing in surgical operatory and maintain focus during detailed procedures

Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
