A reliable Postal Delivery Driver is needed immediately to deliver parcels within the city of Tofino, BC.
No experience necessary - all training provided. A cargo van or minivan is an asset but a vehicle may be provided. Please inquire for details.
COMPENSATION
This position is paid per piece/parcel. Average daily billing ranges from $300–$400. Please inquire for details.
MAIN DUTIES
Organize and plan an efficient parcel delivery route
Scan parcels for delivery
Operate and drive a van or SUV to deliver parcels
Accurately complete and submit required documentation daily
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver's licence appropriate to the class of vehicle being driven, maintained at all times
Physically fit and able to lift 65 lbs
Able to deliver all parcels assigned to the route area, or as required
Willing to complete a criminal record check and security screening
Dedicated, dependable, and committed to the role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet and maintain all service requirements
Perform deliveries as required, using proper parcel handling techniques
Build positive relationships with internal contacts (managers, supervisors, employees, contractors) and external customers
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to work independently and problem-solve on the go
Works well as part of a team and assists where needed
Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills
SCHEDULE
This route currently runs Thursday and Friday until the fall. There is also strong potential for this role to quickly expand to a full Monday-to-Friday schedule as volumes grow, so applicants who are available and interested in taking on additional days are encouraged to apply.
