What You’ll Do
As an Mental Health Outreach, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting clients as they navigate the challenges of recovery. Your responsibilities will include:
· Supporting and assisting individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
· Promoting community engagement, and connecting individuals to appropriate resources and services.
· Providing assistance in maintenance on client housing, income support, life skills and client recovery journey.
· Facilitate and lead client and family education and awareness initiatives around mental health issues, including workshops, presentations, and support groups.
· Maintaining accurate records of client notes, progress, and incident reports.
· Directly observing and recording client activity.
What We’re Looking For
You’re someone who cares deeply about helping others. You have strong communication skills and can handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and empathy.
Position (32) hours are:
- Thursdays: 11am - 7pm
- Fridays: ~1pm - 9pm
- Saturdays: ~9am - 5pm
- Sundays: ~9am - 5pm
Days are fixed, but hours can be adjusted based on client need and activities planned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of a post-secondary degree. Preference in areas such as the Social Sciences.
- No less than 2 years in a setting with adults who experiecne severe and persistent mental disorders
- Knowledge of mental health services, recovery processes, and mental health services.

· Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
· Compassionate, proactive, and resilient in high-stress situations.
Preferred but Not Required
· CPR
· Professional Assault Response Training (PART)
· Mental Health First Aid
· Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
· Food Safe Handling Certificate
· WHMIS
