Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, the Grounds Crew Worker operates golf course maintenance equipment and assists with the daily upkeep, improvement, and conditioning of the golf course.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Operate mowers to maintain greens, tees, aprons, fairways, and roughs
- Operate tractors, trucks, and utility vehicles as required
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and adjustments when needed
- Assist with fertilizing, watering, and turf care
- Move and shape soil and perform general landscape work
- Move tee markers and change pin locations as directed
- Maintain sand bunkers, ball washers, and course accessories
- Remove debris and maintain cleanliness of course and work areas
- Report equipment issues or damage to supervisory staff promptly
- Follow all company safety protocols
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Lead Hand
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn proper and safe operation of maintenance equipment
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
- Knowledge of golf (preferred but not required)
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
- Able to perform physical work in various weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning
- Training provided — prior golf course experience is an asset but not required
