Join a locally owned company that’s been delivering quality flooring solutions since 1986—Braid Flooring & Window Fashions. We're looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team. This position offers a Monday through Friday work schedule, no shift work. Part time options are available for those needing part time work.
Duties
- Safely load, transport, and deliver flooring product.
- Operate delivery truck with manual transmission.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices or packing lists before loading and after unloading.
- Provide real-time updates to customers regarding delays.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures upon delivery.
- Inspect delivery vehicles regularly and report any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with warehouse to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Uphold company standards for professionalism, courtesy, and customer satisfaction.
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications
- Most importantly you must be reliable with references to support.
- Proven experience (1+ years) as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong background in route driving and customer service.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles required.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting, moving items safely, and operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification is a plus).
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading procedures and inventory handling.
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
