About the role:
The Senior Business Analyst provides a broad array of skills to improve business processes and deliver impactful business solutions to the wider organization. This position requires exceptional analytical & documentation skills, with the ability to bring clarity to complex business problems. The Senior Business Analyst acts as a crucial bridge between business units and technology teams, supporting the execution of technology-driven strategies that deliver measurable value.
The senior business analyst has skills, experience, and organizational knowledge to tackle more complex initiatives that cut across multiple processes, platforms, and concerns. This role can discern problems from symptoms, understand business context, and where appropriate make recommendations.
Actively collaborate with business stakeholders, managers, and end-users to understand their operational needs. Gather information, conduct research, and facilitate discussions to clarify and document business requirements.
Perform in-depth analysis of business scenarios involving people, processes, technology, and data. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Produce, edit, and maintain detailed documentation, including visual models (process flows, sequence diagrams, use cases). Translate high-level business needs into actionable User Stories with clear measurable outcomes and acceptance criteria.
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, development, and QA teams. Engage with internal teams within Agile sprints to clarify requirements, prioritize development efforts, and ensure accuracy against approved business needs.
Manage and coordinate the analysis effort for small to medium projects, ensuring solutions are implemented based on user needs and align with broader strategic business objectives.
Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) of solutions, facilitating discussions to resolve issues between IT, consulting teams, and business owners, and collecting appropriate stakeholder sign-off.
Support change management initiatives by documenting change impacts based on solution design, partnering with business sponsors to monitor user adoption, and assisting with training and communication strategies.
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Management, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
5 years of experience in a business analysis role with a proven track record of handling complex initiatives
Strong problem-solving and business modeling skills. Ability to dissect complex business topics, identify underlying issues, and present findings in an organized manner.
Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills. Must be able to speak to non-technical audiences in simple terms and translate business needs into technical specifications for IT teams.
Proven ability to interact professionally and build relationships with a diverse group including executives, developers, testers, end-users, and subject matter experts.
Comfortable using Microsoft 365 productivity tools (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint), requirement management tools, and writing basic to intermediate SQL queries to answer data-related questions.
A self-starter and quick learner who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Capable of multi-tasking and leading multiple analysis initiatives simultaneously.

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $113,106 to $125,000 CAD.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
