We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This vital role supports licensed physiotherapists in delivering quality patient care within a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in patient care, medical terminology, and experience in acute care environments. Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans and therapy sessions
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions
- Support patients during exercises and mobility activities, ensuring safety and comfort
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to therapy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and treatment spaces
- Provide patient education on exercises, mobility aids, and recovery processes
- Follow infection control protocols and policies at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in patient care, demonstrating compassion and professionalism
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with complex needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and patients
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
