Part-Time Kitchen & Sushi Bar Assistant
Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and energetic Part-Time Kitchen & Sushi Bar Assistant to join our team. If you are fast on your feet, eager to learn, and love a dynamic work environment, we want to hear from you!
Since about 90% of our orders are sushi, your role will heavily involve supporting the sushi bar while managing overall kitchen tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a professional kitchen and sushi preparation.
Hourly Wage & Schedule
- Pay: To be discussed during the interview (Commensurate with experience)
- Hours: Flexible / Part-time (To be determined during the interview)
Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen Management: Since the kitchen is manageable and not overwhelmingly hectic, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing general kitchen duties.
- Sushi Bar Support: Assist with sushi preparation and setup to support our busy sushi station (90% of our order volume).
- Food Prep & Cleaning: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
Requirements
- Experience: Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not required. We are more than happy to train the right candidate!
- Fast Learner & Quick Footed: Must be able to work quickly, efficiently, and maintain a fast pace.
- Multitasking Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks smoothly at once (managing the kitchen while assisting the sushi bar).
- Positive attitude, strong reliability, and a great team player.
