Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Denture Technician to join our dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and customizing dentures and other prosthetic devices to meet patient specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of dental materials and techniques. Prior experience in a dental laboratory setting is preferred, along with familiarity with CAD software and dental terminology. The Denture Technician plays a vital role in delivering high-quality prosthetic solutions that improve patient comfort and function.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate complete and partial dentures, crowns, bridges, and other prosthetic devices according to detailed specifications.
- Use CAD software to design dental prosthetics with accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and process dental impressions, wax-ups, and molds for prosthetic fabrication.
- Repair or modify existing dentures to ensure proper fit and function.
- Collaborate closely with dentists and dental assistants to interpret prescriptions and treatment plans.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and quality control measures.
- Ensure all laboratory procedures adhere to safety standards and industry regulations.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software related to dental prosthetics is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working in a dental laboratory or dental office environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Laboratory experience with denture fabrication, repair, and finishing techniques.
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures is a plus for effective collaboration within the dental team.
- Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
