Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Painter/Labourer to join our construction and restoration team. This role involves performing residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, utilizing various hand and power tools, and assisting with general labour tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints. Prior experience in construction painting, carpentry, or rigging is a plus. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking areas as needed
- Apply paint, stains, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment on residential, commercial, or industrial projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate application of paint and finishes
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during various tasks including rigging and carpentry work
- Assist with the setup and teardown of scaffolding or other equipment required for painting at elevated or hard-to-reach areas
- Perform general labour tasks such as moving materials, cleaning work sites, and supporting other trades as necessary
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and project specifications while maintaining a clean work environment
Skills
- Experience in construction painting across residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in painting and carpentry tasks
- Ability to perform rigging and basic carpentry work when required
- Strong understanding of caulking techniques for surface sealing
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients effectively

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
