ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for someone who knows how to hold the line without losing their cool — a people person who can read a room, keep things calm, and make every guest feel welcome from the moment they step up to the door. If you take pride in running a tight, respectful entry and know when to talk things down versus when to act, we want to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage the entrance - monitor access, check IDs, and enforce age restrictions with a friendly but firm approach.
- Keep the crowd moving smoothly during peak hours, lineups, and special events.
- Respond quickly and calmly to disturbances or incidents, using de-escalation first.
- Escort individuals off the premises when necessary, professionally and safely.
- Conduct regular walk-throughs to identify and flag potential security risks.
- Work alongside management, security staff, and local law enforcement when needed.
- Help develop and follow venue safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide great service - answer questions, assist guests, and represent the venue well at all times.
- Handle sensitive situations and information with discretion and confidentiality.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience in a bouncer, door staff, or venue security role (hospitality or entertainment industry preferred).
- Strong communication skills - you can connect with all kinds of people without escalating tension.
- Confident, calm, and assertive under pressure with solid conflict resolution instincts.
- Physically capable of remaining on your feet and alert throughout long shifts.
- Familiar with applicable laws, regulations, and crowd management procedures.
- Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- First Aid / CPR certification is a strong asset.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive pay based on experience.
- Real opportunities to grow within our team.
- Ongoing training and development to keep your skills sharp.
