Position Overview
Kelowna Estate Liquidation assists clients with the efficient management and clearing of residential estates. We are seeking a reliable, part-time assistant to help with the physical sorting of household contents and the preparation of items for our online auction platform.
Primary Responsibilities
- Sorting & Cataloging: Systematically going through household contents to identify and organize items for liquidation.
- Online Auction Setup: Taking clear, high-quality photos of items for online listings.
- Writing and editing accurate, concise item descriptions.
- Ensuring all items are properly logged in the auction system.
- Physical Labor: Carefully lifting and moving furniture, boxes, and miscellaneous household goods during site clear-outs.
- General Support: Maintaining a professional attitude and ensuring project deadlines are met.
Requirements
- Digital Literacy: Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for photography and data entry. Strong writing and editing skills for item descriptions.
- Professional Conduct: Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and communicate clearly while on-site.
- Reliable Transportation: A valid Driver’s License and a personal vehicle are required for travel to various job sites.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active for the duration of a shift.
Schedule & Compensation
- Pay: $20.00/hour to start.
- Hours: Part-time and project-based. This role offers a varied schedule depending on current estate contracts.
