Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the pharmacist with daily pharmacy operations while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working with patients and team members.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide courteous, professional customer service.
- Receive and process prescriptions while verifying patient information for accuracy.
- Assist the pharmacist with prescription preparation and dispensing in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
- Process customer transactions and prescription pickups.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain patient records.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and monitoring medication supplies.
- Coordinate and manage daily prescription deliveries to ensure timely service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy workspace.
- Complete administrative and technical duties as assigned by management.
- Follow all pharmacy policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience or education as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a similar healthcare/customer service role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, accountable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Experience with pharmacy software is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Ability to speak Tagalog, Cantonese, or Mandarin is considered an asset.
