ABOUT THE JOB
Our client, a mid-sized organization in the manufacturing industry, is currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team. The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining CNC machines to manufacture precision parts and components according to technical drawings and specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining high-quality production standards in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Machine Operation & Setup
- Set up and operate CNC milling, turning, drilling and grinding machines.
- Install and secure tools, fixtures and attachments required for production.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and CAD models.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions, errors or tool wear.
- Adjust machine settings and offsets to maintain accuracy and tolerances.
Quality Control & Documentation
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.
- Ensure components meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production records and report operational issues promptly.
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Identify and report mechanical or operational problems to minimize downtime.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
Workplace Organization & Safety
- Follow all company policies, operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Always wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report hazards, incidents or unsafe conditions immediately.
OUR OFFER
- Payrate: $20-$40/hour

- Mon to Thu schedule (6 AM to 4 PM) - Day Shift
- Weekly pay every Thursday by direct deposit
OUR REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or technical certification in machining or manufacturing.
- 5 years of Mastercam
- Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code and M-code preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mathematical and mechanical skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Standing for extended periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
- Previous experience as a CNC Operator or Machinist.
- Familiarity with CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens or Haas, Conversational programming.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD or Mastercam.
