Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Property Scanning Technician to join our team on a part-time, on-call basis.
This role involves traveling to client locations and using specialized digital equipment to capture high-quality 3D property scans, paying close attention to detail to ensure complete and accurate coverage. The technician will also process scan data and upload completed models to our cloud-based platform.
The ideal candidate has experience working with digital imaging or photographic equipment and possesses strong technical and organizational skills. Training will be provided on the proper operation of equipment and related workflows.
This is a flexible, on-call position ideal for students, recent graduates, or individuals seeking supplemental income.
Responsibilities
- Travel to residential and commercial properties throughout the Metro Vancouver area.
- Perform 3D scans following company standards and procedures.
- Ensure complete and accurate capture of all required areas within a property.
- Process scan data and upload completed projects to the cloud platform.
- Maintain scanning equipment in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with the operations team regarding project status and requirements.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and property occupants.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Metro Vancouver.
- Smartphone and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to learn and operate new technology.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible availability during weekdays and occasional evenings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Students or graduates in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Real Estate, Geography, GIS, Photography, Media Production, or Technology-related programs.
- Experience using cameras, drones, LiDAR, surveying equipment, or 3D capture technologies.
- Basic knowledge of image processing or digital media workflows.
