Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Pedorthist/Chiropodist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will specialize in the design, manufacture, and fitting of custom orthotics and footwear to improve patient mobility and comfort. This role requires a thorough understanding of foot biomechanics, medical terminology, and patient care, ensuring tailored solutions that meet individual needs. The Certified Pedorthist/Chiropodist will collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and promote overall foot health.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ feet, gait, and lower limb biomechanics to determine appropriate orthotic solutions.
- Educate patients on proper use, care, and maintenance of orthotic devices to maximize effectiveness.
- Collaborate with physicians, podiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in pedorthic techniques, materials, and industry standards through ongoing professional development.
- Ensure all procedures adhere to safety protocols and quality standards for patient care.
Skills
- Proven certification as a Pedorthist or a Chiropodist with valid credentials.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to foot health, biomechanics, and orthotic therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately assess patient needs and customize solutions accordingly.
