A well-established residential care provider is seeking a Manager of Group Home to lead daily operations within a licensed group home supporting individuals with complex developmental and behavioural needs. This role is suited for an experienced people leader who brings strong operational oversight, staff mentorship, and a commitment to person‑directed support.

About the Role
The Manager of Group Home is responsible for overseeing the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of residential services. Working collaboratively with clinical partners and frontline leadership, the Manager ensures high standards of care, staff performance, and regulatory compliance while fostering a positive living environment for residents.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide overall leadership for a residential group home, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards
- Guide, coach, and evaluate staff performance through regular supervision, feedback, and formal reviews
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized support plans and resident goals
- Maintain effective communication with families, external professionals, and internal stakeholders
- Oversee staff scheduling, timekeeping approvals, and attendance to support accurate payroll processes
- Monitor operational expenses, including petty cash, and conduct routine reviews for accuracy and accountability
- Ensure all health, safety, and emergency procedures (including fire safety practices) are followed and documented
- Coordinate staff training and ensure completion of mandatory certifications and online learning
- Respond to incidents, staff injuries, and crisis situations, taking appropriate follow-up action
- Participate in an on-call rotation, with some after-hours or weekend responsibilities
- Ensure documentation meets organizational standards and Ministry requirements
- Facilitate regular meetings with supervisory staff to support consistency, communication, and team alignment
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Social Services, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, Sociology, or a related discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a residential or group care environment
- Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and/or mental health needs
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Solid computer proficiency and comfort with documentation systems
- Valid G-class driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid & CPR (Level C) certification
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (to be completed upon offer)
- Knowledge of Ontario legislation and quality standards related to residential care is required
- Training in behavioural or crisis intervention approaches is considered an asset

Pay: $68,000.00-$77,000.00 per year
