Overview:
This role plays a hands‑on function in driving innovation, optimization, and continuous improvement of construction equipment and machinery used in field operations. The role bridges field operations and engineering-style problem-solving, translating operational needs into practical equipment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives across all company equipment
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify, design, and implement equipment modifications
- Participate in Research & Development (R&D) initiatives focused on equipment design, modification, and automation.
- Evaluate field performance data, operator feedback, and maintenance trends to identify improvement opportunities
- Research emerging technologies and propose innovative equipment or process solutions aligned with operational needs
- Generate and maintain technical drawings, layouts, work instructions, SOPs, and supporting documentation for internally fabricated or modified equipment
- Coordinate and support the commissioning, testing, and handover of new or modified equipment, ensuring proper documentation and training are completed
- Create, develop, and maintain equipment standards, specifications, and documentation for fleet assets
- Monitor, analyze, and report equipment related KPIs (uptime, reliability, improvement actions, safety metrics) to track performance against objectives
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting or designing automated equipment, special purpose machinery, custom equipment, or mechanically complex systems
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on problem-solving skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple improvement initiatives concurrently
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for equipment layouts, modifications, and documentation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Comfort working in shop and field environments alongside technicians and operators
- Valid G class driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
