Program Manager, PMO – Aerospace / Hardware Programs
We are looking for a full-time Program Manager, PMO to join a mission-driven, cross-functional team based in Aurora, ON. This is a hybrid position, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days per week, along with the understanding that additional in-office days may be required based on business needs.
Reporting to the Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer, you’ll play a mission-critical role in driving complex product programs from kickoff through delivery, owning timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional execution across engineering, operations, and customer teams.
This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where you’ll sit at the centre of execution. You’ll work closely with engineering, sales, procurement, and logistics, taking full ownership of program delivery in a hands-on capacity within a lean structure where you manage scheduling, coordination, and execution directly.
As Program Manager, PMO, you will…
- Drive program delivery: Lead new product orders from initial requirements through to release, owning timelines, scope, and deliverables
- Build execution plans: Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and program artifacts that guide teams through each phase
- Align cross-functional teams: Work closely with engineering, sales, procurement, and logistics to ensure clarity, accountability, and forward momentum
- Own program communication: Keep stakeholders aligned on progress, risks, and key decisions across internal teams and customers
- Identify and solve risks: Proactively surface program challenges and lead solutions to keep delivery on track
- Track and improve performance: Monitor program metrics, adjust plans, and drive continuous improvement across projects
- Stay close to engineering execution: Engage with teams on BOM structures, component strategy, and schematic and PCB development to ensure requirements are fully captured
- Take full ownership of delivery: Step into a hands-on role where you manage scheduling, coordination, and execution without relying on large support structures
If you’re ready to take ownership of complex programs and thrive in a hands-on, high-accountability environment, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
Your Edge
You hold a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or a related engineering discipline, with 5+ years of hands-on experience leading projects or programs within technical, hardware-focused environments. You bring a strong foundation in program management, with proven experience building schedules, managing resources, and driving execution across the full project lifecycle.
Your background may come from aerospace and defense or adjacent industries such as automotive, computing, or embedded systems, where you’ve worked closely with engineering teams to deliver complex products. You are comfortable operating in a highly technical environment, with working knowledge of project planning tools such as Microsoft Project or similar platforms, and a clear understanding of how to manage scope, timelines, and risk in real-world delivery scenarios.
What You Bring to the Table
- Project ownership experience: Demonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end, including planning, execution, and delivery rather than supporting as a contributor
- Scheduling tools expertise: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Primavera, or similar tools beyond basic spreadsheet tracking
- Engineering alignment: Ability to work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software teams in a hardware-focused development environment
- Program execution mindset: Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities including scheduling, risk management, and coordination in a lean structure
- Technical environment exposure: Familiarity with complex product development involving electronics, embedded systems, or computing hardware
- Risk and issue management: Practical experience identifying, communicating, and resolving project risks to maintain delivery timelines
- Customer and stakeholder coordination: Experience managing expectations, deliverables, and communication across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Process and workflow discipline: Understanding of structured project workflows and the ability to ensure readiness at each stage of execution
- Industry tools and standards: Exposure to AS9100 environments and tools such as Omnify, SAP, or Power BI is considered an asset
- Domain experience: Experience working with video, graphics, or high-performance computing technologies is an asset
- Certification: PMP certification or progress toward certification is an asset
