We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Night Time Cashier to join our dynamic retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they approach the checkout area, establishing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments.
- Handle cash handling duties with precision, including giving correct change and balancing cash registers at shift end.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos when applicable, and suggest upselling opportunities to enhance sales.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing shelves and displays during downtime to ensure an attractive shopping environment.
- Ensure proper phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries received during shifts.
- Manage time efficiently to complete tasks promptly while delivering excellent customer service throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred, especially with POS systems and cash handling.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and balancing registers.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, upselling, and technical sales is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high energy levels and focus.
