Scheduler Position Summary:
The Home Healthcare Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling in-home care services for clients by matching caregiver availability with client needs. This role ensures continuity of care while maintaining client and caregiver satisfaction through efficient scheduling and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain caregiver schedules for home healthcare clients.
- Match caregivers with clients based on skillset, availability, and client preferences.
- Ensure all visits are scheduled according to care plans and agency policies.
- Communicate changes in schedules to caregivers, clients, and family members as needed.
- Manage last-minute call-outs or shift changes efficiently to avoid service disruption.
- Monitor caregiver compliance with required documentation and certifications.
- Maintain accurate records in scheduling software and update client and caregiver profiles regularly.
- Work closely with case managers, nurses, and administrative staff to support care continuity.
- Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner, assisting with inquiries related to scheduling or care needs.
- Assisting with hiring and on-boarding new care team members.
- Monitor clock ins and manage visit approvals.
- Handling general office administration tasks.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours scheduling support.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare scheduling, customer service, or administrative support asset.
- Attention to detail an asset
- Knowledge of home care or healthcare services is an asset.
- Proficient in using AlayaCare scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills an asset.
- Excellent English skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Ability to participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours scheduling support.

Work Schedule:
- 9am - 5pm, Tuesday - Saturday
- First 4 weeks will be Monday - Friday to provide adequate training support

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
