Purpose:
The shop mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks to assist with the everyday operation of the landscaping company. Tasks will include maintenance of company vehicles and equipment, supervision and clean up of shop yard, moving of equipment between jobsites. The shop mechanic will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks.
This position could be full time or part time, depending on the candidate. Hours of work/schedule can vary - may included evening or Saturday work

Efficiently Produce Work:
- Mechanic repair work to company vehicles including oil changes, tire rotation
- Keeping all machines in good working order
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as required
- Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying around the shop yard
- Operate various repair shop tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Repair or replace faulty components, parts, or systems
- Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently

Minimum Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a mechanic or apprentice mechanic role
- Proven experience as a mechanic or similar role
- Pay will be determined based on level of experience (with 310S or 310T certification, wage can be negotiated)
- Class G drivers licence with good driving record
Work Conditions:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent stamina is required
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
- Flexible working hours to be determined upon hire; could include weekend work
- Can be part-time or full-time position depending on the candidate
