Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling accurately.
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter, taking orders, upselling menu items, and providing friendly service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage register operations with proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Assist with basic food prep tasks and ensure all food handling adheres to safety standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
- Uphold sanitation standards by following proper hygiene practices and restaurant policies.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cashiering tools.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation, and safety regulations within the food industry.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately.
- Effective time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently.
- Ability to upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Kitchen experience or restaurant background is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
