Markham CoCo Bubble Tea is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated full-time and part-time Tearista/Barista team members to join our vibrant beverage shop. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, creating delicious bubble tea drinks, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced food industry setting, where teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of bubble tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, engaging with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Handle food preparation tasks such as ingredient assembly, topping addition, and drink customization
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food handling areas
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Serve customers promptly while managing multiple orders during busy periods
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper food handling procedures
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during shifts
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or familiarity with the food industry is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required
