AVA Maintenance Management is looking for a driven, agile, and high-potential Construction Operations Lead to help lead and grow our construction operations.

We aHere’s the final posting:re looking for someone who can step into complex construction work, review drawings, coordinate trades, solve problems on site, and also help build the systems, relationships, and structure needed to grow AVA’s construction division.
The right person may be a junior or intermediate superintendent, project coordinator, site lead, estimator, skilled trade, or construction manager who is ready for a bigger opportunity.
We are looking for someone with real upside — someone who may not have the perfect resume yet, but has the drive, construction sense, common sense, and ambition to grow into a key leadership role with the company.
About the Role
This role requires someone who is flexible and agile. One day, they may be reviewing drawings, coordinating trades, and helping move a complex commercial project forward. The next day, they may be helping organize crews, price work, meet with subcontractors, source materials, improve systems, or support the overall construction arm of the company.
We need someone who can move between planning, field execution, client communication, estimating support, and operational leadership without getting stuck in one lane.
This position will support commercial construction, tenant improvements, repairs, renovations, hardscapes, fencing, exterior works, maintenance-related construction, and other project-based work as AVA continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, scopes, specifications, and site details
- Identify gaps, conflicts, missing information, and practical field concerns
- Coordinate trades, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal crews
- Support complex commercial projects, including renovations and tenant improvements
- Help organize and grow AVA’s construction division
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, estimating, takeoffs, quoting, and change orders
- Visit job sites to review quality, safety, productivity, and progress
- Communicate professionally with clients, consultants, trades, suppliers, and internal leadership
- Help source drawings, engineering, design input, trade pricing, and material options when needed
- Build and maintain relationships with trades, designers, engineers, suppliers, consultants, and construction professionals
- Support field crews with clear direction, planning, materials, and problem solving
- Track site progress, photos, costs, deficiencies, and project documentation
- Help develop better systems, workflows, and procedures for construction work
- Bring forward ideas that improve efficiency, profitability, quality, and client experience
- Take ownership of problems and help drive projects to completion

Experience / Qualifications
The ideal candidate may have experience in one or more of the following:
- Construction supervision
- Site superintendent work
- Project coordination
- Commercial renovations or tenant improvements
- General contracting
- Skilled trades
- Estimating or takeoffs
- Trade coordination
- Construction operations
- Hardscapes, fencing, concrete, asphalt, demolition, repairs, or exterior construction
- Reading drawings, scopes, and specifications
- Working with engineers, designers, architects, consultants, or drafting professionals
A valid driver’s licence is required.

Compensation
$70,000–$90,000 per year, based on experience, ability, industry relationships, and overall fit.
Higher compensation may be considered for a candidate who brings stronger construction experience, drawing knowledge, or established industry relationships.
