Position Overview:
We are looking for a co-op student to support our data and analytics work. You will help gather and analyze data, build dashboards and reports, and automate recurring tasks. This role is ideal for a senior undergraduate or Master’s student interested in practical analytics and AI/data science applications in a business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources (including databases)
- Write SQL queries to extract and validate data for analysis and reporting
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
- Create and update calculations/measures in Power BI using basic DAX
- Develop Excel-based analysis tools, templates, and automated reports
- Create or maintain Excel macros (VBA) to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
- Support documentation of data definitions, report logic, and recurring processes
- Collaborate with team members to understand reporting needs and deliver insights
Qualifications
- 4th-year undergraduate or Master’s level student in Data Science (AI development preferred) or a related program
- Strong Excel skills, including experience writing macros (VBA)
- Experience with Power BI, including building reports and using basic DAX
- Experience working with databases and writing SQL queries
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
- Good communication skills and ability to explain findings clearly
