Lewis Estates Dental Centre is a leading dental practice in West Edmonton. Our focus of care is to provide advanced therapies to patients of all ages. We focus on integrated oral/systemic health and the care required to improve patient health by influencing factors that contribute to disease. Advanced technologies are used to support such care and team members are educated to keep them abreast of scientific advancements in oral care and provide the education to use advanced technologies. Lewis Estates Dental Centre is currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant who is committed to providing exceptional customer service and who has a strong desire to advance their learning while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our candidate will have a strong work ethic and be capable of utilizing the full range of their training.
Job Requirements:
·Must have at least 2 years of assisting experience as a hands-on dental assistant.
·Must be experienced with correct use of dental instruments including the ability to reprocess instruments, if needed
·Have excellent time management skills and be able to work in a team setting.
·Have the ability to problem solve and take action while being self-motivated.
·Have the ability to work daytime shifts, and one evening shift to 6PM weekly, and one Saturday monthly, and preferably be based in West or Southwest Edmonton
·Familiarity with dental practice management software; certification in neurodmodulator assisting, sedation assisting is preferred.
Experience in digital xrays, intraoral scanning is required. Cerec crown design would be an asset. Fluency in placement of matrices, retraction cord, and other basic dental assistant responsibilities is REQUIRED.
Customer Service Responsibilities:
·Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
·Able to support patients with questions pertaining to clinical care.
·Manage incoming and outgoing lab cases
·Follow up with patients after their appointments and ensure all information needed is received.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00-$33.00 per hour
