Job Overview
We are looking for a senior full-stack software engineer to help build and improve our logistics technology platform. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can work across backend services, frontend applications, integrations, data, and production-facing systems. The right person can understand business requirements, make sound technical decisions, and deliver maintainable software without needing every step fully specified.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Build and maintain backend services, APIs, internal tools, and customer-facing workflows
· Develop modern frontend applications using TypeScript and React
· Work with event-sourced systems, projections, background processing, and external integrations
· Integrate with logistics, CRM, email, cloud, and vendor systems
· Write maintainable, tested code in a monorepo environment
· Help improve build, deployment, CI/CD, and developer workflows
· Troubleshoot issues across application code, data, integrations, and cloud services
· Collaborate with leadership and business users to turn requirements into practical software solutions
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
· Senior-level experience building production software
· Strong backend engineering experience, preferably with Python or a comparable language
· Strong frontend experience with TypeScript, React, or comparable frameworks
· Practical experience with event-driven or event-sourced systems, including projections or read models
· Experience integrating external APIs or third-party systems
· Ability to debug complex issues across multiple parts of a system
· Strong communication skills and comfort working independently in a small team
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with AWS, containers, infrastructure as code, or cloud deployments
· Experience with monorepos, strict build systems, CI/CD, or automated testing
· Experience in logistics, freight brokerage, 3PL, supply chain, transportation, or other operational software environments
· Experience with observability practices such as structured logs, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerts
Technology Environment
Our current environment includes Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, React, AWS, Terraform, Bazel, GitLab CI, and third-party logistics integrations. Direct experience with every tool is not required. We value the ability to learn quickly, reason clearly, and make reliable engineering decisions.
What Makes Someone Successful Here
You are pragmatic, dependable, and comfortable with broad responsibility. You ask good questions, communicate tradeoffs clearly, and care about software that works for real business users. You should be comfortable joining a small team where senior engineers contribute across product, engineering, and platform concerns while staying focused on business value.
