Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Owner/Operator Courier to manage local delivery operations. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, and handling heavy loads, with a focus on maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. We are looking for cargo vans or minivans.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to pick up and deliver packages across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo, including heavy items, utilizing appropriate lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups, maintaining detailed records of routes and deliveries
- Communicate effectively with clients and dispatch teams to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery issues
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety and report any maintenance needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and cargo area
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during all transportation activities
Skills
- Moving heavy loads efficiently with proper lifting techniques
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus for loading/unloading cargo
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during deliveries
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with dispatch teams and clients
- Warehouse experience beneficial for understanding inventory handling and logistics
- Proven commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating delivery vehicles
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and cargo handling
Pay: $88,799.14-$299,591.99 per year
