Permanent Placement: Full-Time Live-out Nanny (Cobourg)
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
Start Date: September, 2026
Compensation: $21 to $23 per hour, negotiable based on education and experience.
Environment: Pet-free, non-smoking home.
Role Overview:
Cardinal Nannies is seeking a dynamic and reliable full-time placement nanny for a family in Cobourg with one child. We are looking for a caregiver who strikes the perfect balance between being creative, sporty, and playful, while also being able to set boundaries confidently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Childcare & Engagement: Assist with feedings, naps, developmental play in a fund, safe and active environment.
- Household Support: Assist with planning and preparing meals for the child, planning and meal prep family dinners. Light housekeeping, laundry and keeping items picked up after the child throughout the day as time permits.
- Travel: Family travels regularly (once every few months) within North America and would need a nanny comfortable accompanying them on these trips. Family is usually away in Asia in January and February and the ideal candidate is either comfortable with their absence during those months or would accompanying them.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2–4 years of professional childcare experience with excellent references and experience working in a daycare setting.
- Education: Minimum Secondary School graduation.
- Credentials: Valid CPR and First Aid certifications, ECE background preferred.
- Security: A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is mandatory.
- Transportation: Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle preferred by not required. Valid Canadian Passport when travelling with the family.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is punctual, organized, and takes direction well. We are looking for someone dependable who can exercise good judgment while engaging in creative play.
