Job Summary
We are seeking caring and dependable Caregivers for the North Edmonton area to provide in-home support to clients with a variety of needs. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and committed to delivering high-quality care while respecting each client’s personal preferences, routines, and cultural background.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
- Bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance
- Mobility support and transfers
- Meal preparation and feeding support when required
- Medication reminders
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Encourage client independence and participation in daily activities
- Document care provided and communicate updates to the care team
- Respect client privacy, dignity, and individual preferences
- Support clients who may wish to participate in Indigenous cultural practices, traditions, and community connections (where applicable)
Qualifications
- Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred
- Healthcare aide (HCA) certification is an asset
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Current police information check with vulnerable sector screening required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
