Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items. The Barista will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring each guest has a positive experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using espresso machines and other equipment
- Handle cash register transactions accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
- Perform food preparation tasks including assembling light food items and snacks
- Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Manage cash handling duties with accuracy, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during shifts
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and quality in all food service activities
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is a plus
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and cashiering roles will be beneficial
