Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused Convenience Store Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to perform a variety of store duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with purchases.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, credit, lottery, and other transactions accurately.
- Stock shelves, refill coolers, and rotate products.
- Check product expiry dates and maintain proper product rotation.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well-presented.
- Receive deliveries and organize inventory in the stockroom.
- Assist with pricing, labeling, and merchandising.
- Follow food safety and store policies.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Help prevent theft and report any safety or security concerns.
Requirements
- Previous retail or convenience store experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and honest.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts if required.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
