Dailly tasks and responsibilites:
● Coordinates reviews of third party/landlord tax reconciliations and billings with leases and processes payments.
● Assists with the preparation of Property Tax budgets.
● Tracks and meets numerous property tax deadlines.
● Prepare and tracks payments to cities and landlords.
● Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and/or enhancements of the property tax system tools
● Responsible for the analysis and reconciliation of large files by means of BI, Excel, Access, PowerPivot, Cognos or any other tool as they relate to property tax transactions.
● Perform and coordinate internal audit and compliance reviews.
● May be required to communicate with the warehouses, accounting department, the cities and other stakeholders.
● Work on other tax related projects or tasks as required.
Qualifications
● Education/Training:
Bachelor’s in Commerce with specialization in accounting or finance is required.
● Permits/Licenses/Certifications:
None.
● Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience as an analyst is required; experience must demonstrate a high level of autonomy and the ability to manage complex reconciliations beyond clerical processing.
● Knowledge/Skills:
Strong analytical skills, is required. (Candidates will be tested).
Excellent knowledge of business software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Google and Excel), is required. (Candidates will be tested).
Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, are required (Candidates will be tested).
Bilingualism, written and spoken (French/English), is required.
Must have proven strong time-management and organizational skills.
Knowledge of property tax, is preferred.
Knowledge of iSeries (AS/400) and SAP is preferred.
Must be very comfortable working with numbers and formulas.
Motivated self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must manage different priorities with precision and attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
Ability to multi-task.
