About London Property Corporation
London Property Corporation is a large privately owned real estate investment company specializing in the construction and management of large multi-unit student residence buildings across Canada.
We are currently seeking a professional, motivated, and results-driven Property Manager to oversee large multi-unit residential properties in Oshawa and Peterborough. This is a full-time, permanent position suited for someone with strong communication skills, property management experience, and the ability to manage both leasing performance and day-to-day building operations.
Position Overview
The Property Manager will be responsible for helping ensure the properties are well-operated, well-maintained, and performing at maximum occupancy. This role will involve leasing, tenant relations, maintenance coordination, reporting, and regular communication with senior management.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently, travelling between properties, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced residential environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Tour prospective tenants through available units and common areas
- Rent, lease, and promote units with the goal of reaching and maintaining maximum occupancy
- Respond to tenant inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, parents, contractors, staff, and management
- Coordinate property maintenance, repairs, cleaning, inspections, and general upkeep
- Monitor the condition of the properties and identify required improvements or repairs
- Work with maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure work is completed properly and efficiently
- Track leasing progress, occupancy, tenant issues, maintenance items, and property performance
- Report results, updates, and concerns to senior management
- Assist with move-ins, move-outs, unit inspections, and turnover planning
- Ensure properties are clean, safe, presentable, and operating to company standards
- Support marketing, leasing, and resident retention initiatives
- Assist with enforcing lease terms, building rules, and company policies
- Handle occasional after-hours, evening, or weekend requirements related to showings, tenant matters, emergencies, or operational needs
- Perform other property management duties as required
Qualifications
- Prior property management experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with multi-unit residential buildings, student housing, maintenance, leasing, or building operations is considered an asset
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable dealing with tenants, parents, contractors, staff, and management
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to promote units and close leases
- Ability to manage tenant concerns professionally and calmly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up on outstanding items
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Willingness to travel regularly between Oshawa and Peterborough
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends when required
