Position Summary
The Assistant Front Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail sales floor within the pharmacy. This role ensures a high standard of customer service, effective merchandising, optimal stock levels, and compliance with company policies.

The Assistant Front Store Manager supports the Front Store Manager and supports the retail team through training, coaching, and supervision to drive sales performance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Operations
- Support and oversee daily sales floor operations to ensure a clean, organized, and customer-friendly environment
- Ensure all merchandising displays are visually appealing, well-stocked, and aligned with company standards and promotional plans
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stock replenishment
- Ensure pricing accuracy and compliance with promotions and signage
Inventory & Stock Management
- Manage stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts
- Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts
- Monitor product expiries and ensure timely rotation and removal of expired or near-expiry items in accordance with company policies
Team Leadership & Development
- Support the Front Store Manager to supervise, direct, and support cashier, customer service team members
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members
- Assist in onboarding new employees and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools
Customer Service
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently met
- Address and resolve customer inquiries or complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Create a welcoming and positive shopping experience for all customers
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable health and safety regulations
- Support loss prevention and shrinkage control initiatives
Requirements
- Proven retail management experience with a strong background in sales management and team supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in training & development and supervising staff
- Strong organizational skills with proficiency in merchandising, pricing, purchasing, and marketing strategies
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, and bookkeeping software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively through time management skills
- Exceptional customer service skills with phone etiquette proficiency
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities
