CaraCo has an exciting opportunity in our Finance Team for a Junior Accountant.
The Junior Accountant supports the Finance team by performing day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end and year-end processes to name a few!
This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy, ethics, and compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities
· Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger for a small portfolio of companies or in support of larger entities
· Participate in month end close processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy
· Review and prepare month end journal entries, identifying trends and variances
· Process intercompany transactions as required
· Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
· Identify, analyze, and resolve accounting irregularities
· Ensure all financial data is accurate and properly recorded
· Assist with the preparation of financial statements
· Prepare variance analysis reports and provide insights as requested
· Identify issues, analyze root causes, and recommend appropriate actions
· Assist with year end audit and engagement requirements
· Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure deadlines are met
· Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed

· Perform additional duties as assigned
Skill Set, Education and Experience
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail, completing data sets and information
· Strong accounting and numerical skills
· Ability to prioritize, has good judgment and critical thinking skills
· Timeliness of work and adherence to deadlines
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
· Financial reporting prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
· College Diploma in accounting or finance
· Min two years combined experience in accounting or finance
· Progress towards a CPA designation is preferred
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, bonus points for Excel

Working Conditions

Pay: $50,000.00-$53,000.00 per year
