About the Role
This is more than a traditional dispatcher position. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of our day-to-day dispatch function while helping us build the systems, processes, and team needed for long-term growth.
The successful candidate will initially work as a hands-on full-cycle dispatcher and, as the company grows, will have the opportunity to recruit, train, mentor, and lead additional dispatch staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full dispatch cycle from load planning through delivery.
- Source and book freight while maximizing truck utilization and profitability.
- Negotiate rates with brokers and direct customers.
- Coordinate drivers, appointments, and route planning.
- Monitor shipments and resolve service issues proactively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and shippers.
- Keep accurate records and ensure timely communication with customers and drivers.
- Develop standard operating procedures and improve dispatch workflows.
- Hire, onboard, train, and mentor future dispatch team members as operations expand.
- Contribute ideas that improve efficiency, customer service, and business growth.

- Proven experience as a full-cycle truck dispatcher.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
- Experience with North American trucking operations and load boards.
- Leadership mindset with an interest in building and managing a team.
- Customer-focused attitude and commitment to service excellence.
- Experience in Temperature Controlled Freight

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
