TYCROP is looking for a Electrician to join our team in the Fraser Valley.

Summary:
The Electrician will participate with the installation of electrical components & related system assembles during production and facility projects and will troubleshoot, service, diagnose failures and make repairs on electrical and/or various systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Building, testing, and installing control panels
- Assist in the installation of components and systems during production and facility projects
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Determine the root cause of electrical issues and find ways to mitigate them, working across teams to come up with creative solutions
- Effectively test, troubleshoot, repair and install electrical systems, products, assemblies and/or components
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
- Assemble all machinery and equipment by bolting, welding, riveting or softening them to pre-built foundations.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in wire tracing and troubleshooting
- Industrial Electrician Certificate, Red seal or equivalent experience
Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic
- Demonstrates a general understanding of different electrical procedures
- Possesses basic electrical power and control systems knowledge
- Proficient with electrical trade specific tools
- Can effectively follow verbal and documented work instructions and knows where to find relevant information
- Demonstrates improved quality of work and increased production speed
- Demonstrates the ability to problem solve and make decisions
- Displays exceptional people skills and a can-do attitude
- Utilizes effective oral communication and numeracy, problem solving, job task planning and organizational skills
