### About the Event
Be part of the energy at the Calgary Stampede! We're hosting two major outdoor music festivals during Stampede week — AfroSwitch (July 10) and Stampede Mela (July 11) — each expecting 2,000-4,000 attendees. We're looking for an experienced Event Site Manager to oversee all on-site venue operations from setup through takedown.
### Responsibilities
- Oversee full venue operations including setup (July 8–9), event days (July 10–11), and takedown (July 12)
- Coordinate with production, security, vendors, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution
- Manage site infrastructure including staging, fencing, power, lighting, and sanitation
- Serve as the primary on-site decision-maker for operational issues during event days
- Ensure compliance with all City of Calgary permits, fire safety, and emergency protocols
- Conduct pre-event site walkthroughs and manage load-in/load-out schedules
- Liaise with security team (80+ guards) and ensure checkpoint protocols are followed
- Oversee emergency response procedures in coordination with medical staff
### Requirements
- 3+ years experience managing large-scale outdoor events (5,000+ attendees)
- Strong leadership and crisis management skills
- Knowledge of event permits, safety regulations, and municipal compliance
- Ability to work long shifts in an outdoor environment
- Must be 18+
- First Aid certification preferred
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
